Ahmad Jalil

Ahmad Jalil is a PhD candidate in the Natural Resources and Environmental Studies program at the University of Northern British Columbia and a long-standing member of the MATTER research team. With an academic background in health sciences and a strong interdisciplinary interest in environmental health, Ahmad’s doctoral research focuses on air quality characterization, with particular emphasis on understanding pollutant behaviour, exposure patterns, and the broader implications of air contaminants for environmental and human health. Since joining MATTER in 2020, he has contributed to research activities related to air pollution monitoring, data interpretation, and the development of practical knowledge to support cleaner and healthier environments. Through his PhD work, Ahmad aims to advance science-based approaches for assessing air quality impacts and informing effective environmental decision-making.
