Antonia Tannert Von Baer, a UNBC undergraduate student majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, joined the MATTER team as a summer intern, working closely with Dr. Banchamlak on ongoing biopolymer research projects. During her placement, she contributed to laboratory work focused on sustainable biopolymer-based materials, gaining hands-on experience in material preparation, testing, and data collection while supporting the team’s broader efforts in developing environmentally responsible materials and packaging solutions.
